KEEPING YOU INFORMED - CHAIRMAN'S UPDATE!

A huge thanks to the Senior Committee who gave up their Bank Holiday yesterday to attend an extended meeting ahead of a very busy period for the club.

Really productive meeting with the following topics discussed in line with our ethos of Working With the Community, For the Community….

πŸ’š Floodlights - Construction nearing completion and a Big Light switch on date identified which will be communicated later this week and advertised for Community to attend.

πŸ’› Additional CCTV has been purchased to cover more geographical area and will be installed this week providing further security and reassurance for club and local residents.

πŸ’š Masters RL presentation being produced ahead of inaugural meeting on 13th Sept which is in line with our 5 year business plan.

πŸ’› Final plans coming together ahead of our Australian Night as we host New South Wales Police RL on 19th September.

πŸ’š Further detail to follow imminently on how our club will be mascots/flag bearers and ball boys for the GB Police v NSW Police at the Totally Wicked Stadium, but full plan now in place.

πŸ’› Memorial Garden - now under construction with funding applications ongoing to continue the design, decoration and planting phases.

πŸ’š Presentation Nights - a club wide, standardised process is now agreed and will be communicated out across each age group so that the nights can be that bit more special.

πŸ’› New kit wear, post protectors, corner flags and sponsorship opportunities discussed and being progressed. Funding bids being submitted.

πŸ’š Projects for 2024 agreed which will focus on upgrades to changing rooms, first aid provisions, shower facilities, toilets and roof of old building. Sponsorship and/or funding grants to be explored due to scale of task.

πŸ’› Community Hub projects being progressed including coffee mornings, quiz nights, bingo, half term diversionary activities, mental health training, knife crime awareness and Halloween parties.

πŸ’š Further actions allocated to improve volunteer, player and coaching recruitment.

πŸ’› Pro-active review of all policies and procedures.

πŸ’š Date set for the next Community Advisory Group meeting alongside Merseyside Police and partners.
